Welcome to our practice

The Doctors Gascoigne provides affordable general practice family healthcare and access to after hours urgent care.  We welcome patients to our friendly family practice, here in Hastings South. We offer a range of services provided by our team of Doctors, Registered Nurses, and Clinical Pharmacist and are open 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

We’re providing our service in a new way to ensure you and your whanau remain safe. We're doing our part to support the COVID-19 response so when you phone us or visit the clinic we will ask if you have any cough, cold, or flu-like symptoms or if you're concerned about COVID-19 - let us know. This doesn't mean we think you have coronavirus, it's simply a small step we're taking to ensure we continue to keep our community safe and healthy.

Our practice is safe to visit

Safety is our priority. We are doing testing for COVID-19 and it's done in your car where possible or in an isolation room if an assessment is required.

This means when you visit us for other medical issues you won’t be exposed in any way. We have strict infection prevention standards in place, meaning staff are regularly wiping surfaces and keeping the practice clean and germ-free.

Enrol With Us

Our enrolment capacity is currently limited, please phone or email reception to discuss availability

When you enrol with us, some of the benefits include:

  • Reminders and recalls for important health management
  • Pay less to see the doctor than non-enrolled patients
  • Access to our online patient portal to book appointment, order repeat prescriptions and to view lab test results

Not enrolled but need an appointment? 

You can still get an appointment even if you are not enrolled with us e.g. if you’re a visitor to the region. Just phone our friendly team for a casual appointment.  Extra charges apply for casual appointments when you are not enrolled.

Monday - Friday 8am – 5pm for booked GP appointments
Closed weekends and public holidays

After Hours

For urgent after-hours medical care please call the practice on 06 878 9978 and your call will be answered by a highly trained triage nurse who can provide medical advice and in need refer you to an appropriate Urgent Care after-hours service.

Nurse consultations free for under 18 years and $19.50 for 18+ years (standard and CSC). CSC - Community Services Card.

Full payment is required at the time of your consultation. Administration Fee $10 for consults not paid on the day.

Good news, paying online is easy. 

You can pay securely using a credit or debit card or internet banking (Account2Account payments) - just click below to make a payment.  Payment is due on the day of your appointment. In addition to paying online you can pay in person at the centre with cash, eftpos and credit card.
