We’ll talk you through the benefits and possible side effects so that you can make an informed decision before proceeding. If you have any concerns about the contraceptive you are currently on, please do not hesitate to book an appointment and discuss that with us. More information on the different types of contraception can be found here.
Pregnancy testing and counselling
If you think you might be pregnant, we offer confidential pregnancy testing. Our team is here to support you with counselling and information on all of your options.
STI testing and treatment
We offer discreet testing and treatment for a variety of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including chlamydia, gonorrhoea, syphilis, and HIV. Early detection and treatment are important to maintaining your health. If left untreated, the likelihood of long-term effects is higher.
HIV testing and prevention
We provide confidential HIV testing, along with counselling on prevention strategies. For those at higher risk, we also offer PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) to help prevent HIV.
Sexual health education
We provide education on a variety of topics, including safe sex practices, understanding STIs, and how to maintain a healthy sexual relationship. Our goal is to empower you to make informed decisions about your sexual health.
Cervical screening (smear tests)
Regular cervical screenings are essential for detecting early signs of cervical cancer. New Zealand has one of the world's leading screening programmes, and they have recently introduced self-testing with a vaginal swab to encourage more women to get tested. The self-test checks for HPV, the virus that can lead to cervical cancer. If HPV is detected during your self-test, you will be referred for a cervical smear, where a sample is collected by a nurse or doctor. In some cases, a cervical sample may be recommended without a self-test.
HPV vaccination
HPV immunisation is available through our GP teams and is recommended for all those aged from 9 years of age through to age 26
Support for sexual dysfunction
Your GP or healthcare provider is very open to discussing sex-related concerns. Sexual issues are common, so don’t feel embarrassed—please seek advice and support if you have any concerns.
Care for reproductive health
Confidential support is available for both men and women. We offer a range of services for reproductive well-being, from preconception care and advice to support for menopause. Speak to your GP if you have any concerns.

Your privacy is our top priority. While there are some legal obligations we may need to discuss with you, our services are largely confidential, and we ensure your information remains private. Whether you are seeking STI testing or counselling, you can feel safe knowing that your health information will be kept secure.
