The Doctors Bayfair

The Doctors Bayfair Medical Centre

Welcome to our practice

At The Doctors Bayfair, we work with you to make your future healthier, and when health issues or accidents happen, we’re there to provide the care, advice and support you need. As your family doctor, we’ve designed our modern, well-equipped medical centre, located between Mt Maunganui and Papamoa, to meet your healthcare needs.

Our patients receive premium, professional care from our experienced team of general practitioners, nurses, and reception team. Each of our GPs brings a commitment to quality family health care with specialist interests ranging from child, women's and men's health, sports medicine, minor surgery, specialist ACC work, and occupational health. We run an array of nurse clinics including diabetes, immunisation, biopsies, healthy lifestyle, care plus, asthma and flu clinics.

We are a registered provider for Immigration New Zealand. For more information on how to apply for an immigration medical, click here.

Our opening hours are for GP-booked appointments and Acute Walk-in Care,“no appointment necessary” services. Acute Walk-in Care is for enrolled or casual patients who experience sudden illness, accidents or injuries that do not appear to be life threatening but cannot wait until the next day.

Enrolling with us means you can visit either practice and access services five days a week, Monday- Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. We offer appointments outside normal business hours upon request, helping you avoid high casual rates for weekend and after-hours consults.

If you need urgent acute walk-in care outside of these hours, please go to Accident & HealthCare at19 Second Ave, Tauranga, phone 07 577 0010. They are open every day until 9pm. This is an acute walk-in clinic, so you can visit whenever it suits you without an appointment for urgent medical care.

We are taking bookings for flu vaccines. It’s free for people who meet the eligibility criteria. You can still get a flu vaccine if you’re not eligible for a funded one, for a small fee.

Please call us at 07 572 6800 to book a flu vaccine.
