Working together for your best health

We are a family-focused Kapiti based medical centre and urgent care service that is open 7 days. We also offer a physiotherapy service and full x-ray facilities on site.

We are accredited as an ACC endorsed Urgent Care medical centre, and we operate as an integrated family health centre.  Our clinic is purpose-built and sited in Coastlands Mall, State Highway One, Paraparaumu, on the beautiful Kapiti Coast. We are equipped to the highest standards to carry out a wide range of general practice and accident and medical procedures, including care of acute and chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, heart conditions, minor fractures and trauma, terminal care, and minor surgery. We have a fully equipped resuscitation unit.

We encourage patients to enrol with us for continuity of care. We are committed to building long-term relationships and to work to improve, maintain and restore health and well-being. We encourage our enrolled patients to make appointments with their regular medical practitioner. Our urgent care clinic is available to both enrolled and casual patients. No appointment is needed, but there is sometimes a wait. Plentiful free parking is available just outside the centre.

    Vasectomies

A vasectomy is one of the safest forms of contraception. Only one in 3,000 couples fall pregnant after vasectomy compared with up to one in 250 with tubal ligation and more than one in 100 per year with the contraceptive pill. If you're considering a vasectomy, click here  for full information on our vasectomy service.

    Weekend service

Our practice is endorsed by ACC auditors as an Urgent Care centre. This means that on weekends and public holidays, emergency and urgent walk-in patients take priority.  We encourage you to see your regular GP for non-urgent or non-acute health concerns and request that you make an appointment during normal weekday hours.

Have a look at some artist's impressions of the anticipated result. While the leadership team works with the contractors, it is healthcare as usual at Team Medical.

Stylish new look and facilities to improve Team Medical’s service

Team Medical is transforming into a contemporary environment with a warm and soothing colour palette. There are four stages, with the first stage expected to be completed by mid-summer followed by on-going upgrades to our Urgent Care and GP consulting areas.  We are using recycled materials and local landscapes as our inspiration.  Our aim is to improve patient spaces with a large and spacious waiting room that flows easily into either the GP team or urgent care team dependent on your needs as a patient. The cohesive design links all additional treatment spaces and patient facilities in a more logical way. And, we have more toilets!
