What is Urgent Care?
These urgent care services, (sometimes known as Accident & Medical or ‘out of hours’ services) are for people who experience sudden illness, accidents or injuries that do not appear to be life threatening but can’t wait until the next day. You don't need an appointment to visit urgent care - we welcome unscheduled, walk-in visitors. There may be a short wait time depending on the number of people visiting at the same time. More seriously ill patients receive priority care.
In case of an emergency, always call 111.
All these practices offer standard GP medical services for booked appointments within standard opening hours. Click on their link above to find out more about their normal opening hours, how to enrol and how to book an appointment. For your regular, continuing healthcare please book an appointment with your usual GP.
You can also enrol at these urgent care centres as your main general practice (GP) care provider, just the same as other medical centres. Then you will benefit from all the great aspects about becoming an enrolled patient.
