The Doctors Ti Rakau are a family friendly,welcoming medical practice that provides you with General Practice health care as well as Urgent Care services for accidents, injuries and other unexpected illness. Our practice is fully endorsed against ACC Standards for Urgent Care centres.  We have also achieved Cornerstone Accreditation through our commitment to meeting legal and safety standards and continuous quality improvement. Operating from our professional, purpose-built facilities, we are open seven days a week for accident and injury, and Monday to Friday for general practice consultations.

We take a complete approach to your health and well being, providing accident and urgent care, and a full range of personal and family health care service, including childhood immunisations, asthma review and monitoring, minor surgical procedures, sexual health and contraceptive advice. We also provide an occupational health service for local businesses and industries.

We are a COVID-19 Testing Station, all welcome

In Alert Level 1 our consults will be through phone or video, and in person when you need them - phone 09 273 8980 to book. To ensure everyone gets the help they need, we'll be screening all appointment requests which may involve calling you back with more details.

We’re providing our service in a new way to ensure you and your whanau remain safe. We're doing our part to support the COVID-19 response so when you phone us or visit the clinic we will ask if you have any cough, cold, or flu-like symptoms or if you're concerned about COVID-19 - let us know. This doesn't mean we think you have coronavirus, it's simply a small step we're taking to ensure we continue to keep our community safe and healthy. 

We're a Designated COVID-19 Testing Site

COVID-19 testing is free. Our team is available for Covid testing between 8am-4pm, Monday to Friday. Please drive to the rear carpark when you arrive, then text the number posted on the fence letting us know your first name, surname, date of birth, car registration and that you are here for a Covid test. Please stay in your car while you wait for our response and next steps.

Covid swabs are free for symptomatic patients. They are also free for asymptomatic patients meeting the criteria below -
1) Heathcare or aged group workers
2) Boarder worker group,s including managed isolation and quarantine facilities
3) NZ based air crew
4) Close contacts of border worker groups or of a confirmed/probable case
5) High risk groups i.e. Maori, Pasifika, seniors or pre-existing conditions (COPD, high BP, heart disease, diabetes)

There will be a charge for Covid swabbing for travel or work purposes. Please contact the clinic for more information.

If you are registered on our Manage My Health patient portal, you can now book to have a Covid swab via the portal. Please book an appointment with the Covid Swabbing Clinic. Please come to the front entrance door when you arrive at the clinic for your Covid swab, text the number listed on the poster at the front door - please give your first name, surname, car registration and advise you are here for your booked Covid swab appointment.

Our practice is safe to visit

Safety is our priority. Testing is done in your car where possible or in an isolation room if an assessment is required. This means when you visit us for other medical issues you won’t be exposed in any way. We have strict infection prevention standards in place, meaning staff are regularly wiping surfaces and keeping the practice clean and germ-free.

Health Checks and Screening

Care for your health, and make sure you have relevant health checks and screening:

  • Breast screening: free mammograms every two years for women aged 45 to 69, phone 0800 270 200 to make your appointment
  • Child immunisation: please check to see if your child's immunistion is up-to-date
  • Cervical smear checks: remember to keep up-to-date with these checks
  • Flu vaccinations: available in autumn & winter. Free if you are over 65, pregnant, or have a long-term condition
  • Tetanus vaccination booster: for all adults aged 45 years and again at 65 years
  • Heart and diabetes checks: for men aged 45 - 75 and women aged 55 - 75. 10 years, earlier (men 35, women 45) if:
    - you are Maori, Pacific Islander or from the Indian sub-continent
    - have a family history of diabetes, heart disease or stroke
    - have been a smoker
    - have had diabetes, diabetes in pregnancy, polycystic ovary cancer, 
    obesity, kidney or blood pressure problems

Extended & Follow Up Consultations

Extended consultations
A standard booked GP consultation is 15 minutes. Sometimes you may have several issues  you wish to discuss. If there is not enough time during the consultation to address all your concerns, your Doctor may ask you to make a further appointment. 

If you feel that you will require more than 15 minutes, our friendly receptionists can always book an appointment of up to 30 minutes for you. Please note that an extended consultation fee will apply.

Prescription & follow-up consultations
We have separate charges for prescriptions and follow-up consultations. However if your Doctor needs to spend more time with you than usual, a full consultation fee will apply.

Plaster Changes

The best time to come in to have your plaster changed is Monday – Friday, 7am – 3pm. 

Sports Clubs, Gyms and Schools

As part of our ongoing commitment to our community, we are offering no surcharge ACC consultations to sport clubs, gyms and schools.
We offer:

  • no ACC surcharge
  • one-stop care; x-ray, physio, dentist, optometrist, pharmacy & visiting specialists
  • open 7 days, 7am - 9pm weekdays, 8am - 8pm weekends and public holidays
  • experienced health providers focused on your health needs
While no-one wants to get injured or ill as a result of sports and training, we all know it can happen – treating it promptly can make all the difference when it comes to making a good recovery.

Weekend Services

Our centre is endorsed by ACC auditors as an accident and medical centre. This means that on weekends and public holidays, emergency and urgent walk-in patients take priority.

If you would like to see your regular GP for non-urgent or non-acute health concerns, please make an appointment during our normal weekday hours.

Travel Health

At The Doctors Ti Rakau, our doctors are trained in all aspects of travel health services. They are available Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm. Contact us 6 weeks before setting off, click here for our Travel Health Questionnaire

What do our Travel Health services include?

  • Specific travel advice tailored to the travellers needs to plan for a healthy and safe trip
  • General travel advice on such issues as deep vein thrombosis, jet lag, traveller’s diarrhoea, altitude sickness
  • Advice on accident and injury prevention
  • Advice on women’s health issues such as pregnancy and flying and HIV considerations
  • Advice on specific diseases and illnesses relating to the traveller’s destination, including malaria, rabies, hepatitis and more
  • Pre-travel vaccinations - get the right vaccines, medications and advice for the right countries
  • Manage complicated medical issues, families, school groups or business travel
  • Post-travel health needs or illnesses
  • Travel consultations are a non-funded service for both adults and children

    Dr Suzanne Williamson - Telehealth GP

    MB.ChB FRNZCGP

    Suzanne graduated from Auckland Medical School in 1975. She lived and worked as a GP on Waiheke Island for 5 years and was an original member of NZ’s first all- woman general practice in Auckland city. She joined Titirangi Medical Centre as a partner in 1994 having spent time living in the USA and completed Fellowship of the Royal NZ College of GPs in 1998. She was also on a roster for 7 years with urgent care in West Auckland. She worked in a busy teaching practice in the UK for 5 years until returning to NZ in 2008. Since then she has been working as a locum for many different practices in Auckland. She has just joined the team at Ti Rakau this year and will be working from home doing telephone and video consultations and generally contributing to the team as a whole.

    She takes delight in connecting with all kinds of people in all walks of life, has wisdom and life experience in spades & is already finding the new way of consulting with patients joyful and meaningful.

    She has 2 adult sons and enjoys gardening, reading, theatre, music and the arts in general.

  • Dr Ranen Reddy

    Dr Ranen Reddy

    MBChB (Auckland) GP / Urgent Care Physician

    After graduating in 2011 from the University of Auckland, Ranen trained at various hospitals across NZ; including 3 years in Orthopedics. He then moved to GP and Urgent care work.

    His special interests include accident and emergency medicine, sports medicine & injuries and minor surgery.

    Outside work, Ranen enjoys travel and sports, especially Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts.

    MBChB FRNZCGP

    Jing was a local Pakuranga girl and Dux of Pakuranga College. She is bilingual in both Mandarin and English. Jing graduated from the University of Auckland in 2011, then spent three years in different hospitals in Auckland, with one year as a trainee in Emergency Medicine. Jing is a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (FRNZCGP).

    Jing enjoys working for a wide range of ethnicity and all age groups. Her special interests are emergency medicine, woman's health and minor surgery.

    Outside work, Jing enjoys travelling, cooking, teapot collection, Chinese poetry and yoga.

  • Dr Allan Tee

    Dr Allan Tee

    MBChB (Otago), Dip O&G, Dip Paeds, FRNZCGP, FRNZCUC - GP/Urgent Care Physician

    After graduating from Otago Medical School in 1997, Allan spent the first 3 years working in various hospitals. In 2001, he gained post-graduate qualification in both Pediatrics and Obstetric & Gynecology. He completed his Fellowship training for the Royal NZ college of GPs in 2004. In 2017, Allan gained his Fellowship in Royal NZ college of Urgent Care. Allan has been part of The Doctors Group for over a decade. He is the GP Lead at the The Doctors Ti Rakau and a Director/Partner of The Doctors Middlemore.  He is part of the Clinical Advisory Group (CAG) providing governance and clinical oversight for the Green Cross Health Medical network. 

    Allan enjoys all aspects of family medicine and has a special interest in minor surgery and treatment of accident and sports injuries. Outside of work, Allan is a busy father of two boys and enjoys the outdoors and sports, especially basketball and golf. Allan speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

    BHB, MBChB, PGDipCEM, LLB (hons), FCUCP, FACLM - Urgent Care Physician, Clinical Director

    Andrew graduated from Auckland Medical School in 1998 and joined our Ti Rakau Clinic in 2008. He has a broad experience in dealing with acute medical and surgical conditions. Also an enrolled Barrister and Solicitor, Andrew has a special interest in medico-legal matters.

  • Dr Teresa di Bartolo

    Dr Teresa di Bartolo

    MBChB FRNZCGP - General Practitioner

    Dr Di Bartolo graduated from the University of Cape Town Medical School in 1984. Her special interests are in woman’s health, pediatrics, mental health and the management of obesity.
