Jody qualified from Leeds Medical School 2004, MBChB wtih BSc in Anatomy. Following several hospital posts in ED/ surgery around the UK and Sydney, Jody embarked upon my General Practice Training in Leeds and qualified as a GP in 2010. Jody has a diploma in Family Planning and Sexual and Reproductive Health, and enjoy womens health, paediatrics and mental health.
In June 2017, Jody and her family made the leap to experience life in NZ and are so far loving life in the Bay of Plenty. In her spare time Jody enjoys running, yoga and spending time with family. Jody is excited to be a part of the team!
Nurse Practitioner
Lorraine has completed her Clinical Masters in Nursing and registered as a Nurse Practitioner in 2015. Lorraine has spent time working in busy Emergency Departments, orthopaedics, general medicine, primary care clinics and child health. She has a special interest in acute care, paediatrics, women's health and general health and wellness. Outside of work, Lorraine enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys on the farm and other outdoor activities the Bay has to offer.

Dr Richard Roberts was born in South Africa and studied in Cape Town. He emigrated to NZ in 1990 and initially worked at Kaitaia Hospital as a Physician Anaesthetist for two years. Richard then moved to Hamilton in 1992 and worked as a GP in his own practice from 1992 to 2016, after which he moved to Mount Maunganui and has been living here since July 2016. Richard is married with 3 daughters, 6 grandchildren and 2 small dogs [Lowchens]. He loves to walk his dogs daily along the beach, weather permitting. In his spare time Richard can be found playing the Irish drum [Bodhran] and his wife plays the Irish whistle and flute. Other hobbies include attempting to paint a little and helping his wife with her Japanese poetry. [Which she is very good at, with many publications]. Other interests are travel and travel!!!
Richard is excited to join the team. He is currently enrolling patients.
In the UK he obtained his post-graduate degree in general practice (2002) after which he worked as a GP in the UK, New Zealand and the Netherlands. It was his love for New Zealand which brought him back to Bayfair Doctors.
His interests are children's health, care of the elderly, sexual health, contraception and healthy living; the pragmatic approach, with emphasis on the do's and not the don'ts. He has a special interest in skin cancer and performs skin checks for which there are dedicated clinics.
