Dr
Originally from Scotland, Gillian has worked as a doctor in New Zealand for more than 10 years, including 5 years working in general practice and urgent care. Gillian has worked in obstetrics and gynaecology and she is also qualified, trained and experienced in appearance medicine. Dr Gillian has been working at The Doctors Motueka as a locum, but from August, she is a permanent member of our team.
Administrator
Tracey is an experienced health care provider at The Doctors Motueka. Tracey has had a diverse career originally trained as an electronic technician then moving on to working as a gardener, on an orchard and as a volunteer at a hospice. Tracey enjoys staying fit, camping, biking and being outdoors.
Sue has had years of experience in the medical industry previously working at College Hill Doctors, Palm Clinic Diagnostics Med Lab and Auckland Heart Group. Sue enjoys spending here spare time cooking, walking , spending time with family and is also a proud member of the camera club.
Sharon is a trusted health care provider at The Doctors Motueka with 10 years of experience within the medical centre. Sharon has also had years of work experience as a nanny, home care, companion support (Lat Millinas) and previously spent 8 years at Mapua Health. In her spare time Sharon enjoys gardening, going biking, cooking and spending time with her family.
Practice Manager
Charlotte has had diverse work experience in multiple managerial roles such as practice manager (Nelson City Medical, Tima Health), logistics manager (Homeserv England) and events manager (Rashton Hall Hotel). In her spare time Charlotte enjoys staying active, playing netball, socialising with friends and spending time with family.
Nurse
Megan graduated NMIT in 2013 as a registered nurse and since has spent one year in Murchison Community Hospital, she has also spent over a year working at Te Piki Oranga. Megan is an experienced nurse at The Doctors Motueka.
Nurse Manager
Hilary has devoted years of her life within the nursing practice, she has acquired experience over numerous fields of nursing spanning up to 39 years. Hilary is a proud member of Nurses College Aotearoa.
Virginia is a nurse at The Doctors Motueka with over 30 years of nursing experience. She has also spent 10 years as an accountant. Virginia is also a current member of the NZ society of Travel Medicine. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, reading, watching movies and travelling.
Clinical Education Lead
Jennifer has a vast medical experience working in the general surgical ward at Nelson Hospital, also working at New Zealand Blood Service. Jennifer area's of special interest are wound care, eczema, mental health, pain management and child protection/family violence.
Nick has spent many years in the medical industry with over 3 years in the Emergency Medicine department of Ireland, he also has an area of special interest in Travel Medicine.
Emily trained and worked all along the west coast of the Republic of Ireland for about ten years, then moved to Scotland to train in a rural GP scheme. Her areas of special interest are medicine for the elderly and gut health.
After completing her training and obtaining her MRCGP, Emily and her husband decided they were ready for an adventure and moved to New Zealand with a couple of suitcases in hand, having never even visited New Zealand before. That was nine years ago and Emily has been working as a GP here all that time. Her and her husband are now proud to call the Tasman region home. Outside of work Emily will most likely be found spending time with her family or behind a camera lens, being a keen photographer.
Clinical Director
Richard originally trained at the university of Nottingham and has a wide love for all aspects of the general practice. Richard has areas of special interest in clinical research.
Seb is a well experienced doctor with having spent over a year as an emergency doctor, two years as a GP in the Netherlands and completing Internships in Ghana and St. Marten within the medical industry. Seb's areas of special interest are minor surgery, emergency medicine and dermatology. Seb and his family moved from Amsterdam to sunny Motueka in 2015 to enjoy a healthy lifestyle.
