Our New Lynn Medical Centre offers booked COVID-19 Vaccinations - you can book either through our receptionist team, Book My Vaccine, or our enquiry form on The Doctors New Lynn website - Request COVID Vaccine.

You are welcome to use our drive through COVID-19 Sample/Swabbing service in New Lynn - 8:30am - 5:00pm during the week and 9-12pm on the weekends. Depending on the demand for the swabbing service on the weekend - it can also be open until 2:45pm. New Lynn Medical Centre continues to provide COVID-19 swabbing services during the weekend and public holidays from 9-12pm and acute consultations from 9 - 3pm via the Ambulance Bay.

Thank you to those of you who visited our drive through COVID-19 sample testing service – we did not expect to receive such a high demand for our service.  Subsequently, we want to ensure you have received your results – if you haven’t received these via text message please email us on  We can follow up and inform you of the results if you haven’t received the text message. Thank you again for choosing our COVID-19 testing drive through service during this difficult period for our community.

We are pleased to inform our patients we have updated our telecommunication systems – this means longer experiencing random disconnections, the ability to leave a voice message, select connection options and providing a direct line for repeat prescriptions.  It is our hope the new telecommunication system will provide you with a more positive service provision experience.

Additionally, our Primary Health Organization is funding our medical center to have Health Improvement Practitioners and Health Coaches provide free social, mental, and clinical support for our patients in both Golf Road and New Lynn.  Please do not hesitate to contact our Practice Nurse to see how our health care professionals/providers can assist you and/or your family.

Request Covid Vaccine

Complete this online form above to request a Covid Vaccination (including for 5-11 year olds) or Booster. Alternatively phone us on 09 827 7810.

All vaccinated and unvaccinated patients please scan in and wear a mask at all times in our practice. Phone 09 817 5442  to book appointments. If you have any Covid symptoms phone us when you arrive, stay outside and wait for further instructions.

Covid-19 Testing at Our Clinic

We will ask if you have any Covid symptoms such as cough, cold, sore throat, runny nose or flu-like symptoms or if you're concerned about Covid-19. 

We do Covid Testing for all our enrolled patients and often for casual patients where there are appointments available. Please phone us to arrange your test - we are unable to take walk-ins for Covid testing but we can quickly schedule you an appointment.

Safety is our priority. We do COVID-19 testing in your car where possible or in an isolation room if an assessment is required. We have strict infection prevention standards in place.

We warmly welcome new patients

When you enrol with us, some of the benefits include:

There’s no need to come into the clinic, you can enrol online - it’s secure and confidential. The online form will guide you and you will need to upload suitable identification

Paper Enrolment

Paper enrolment forms are still available if you're not able to complete the online form. For each person enrolling, simply print and complete:  the Enrolment Form, an Adult or Child Medical Questionnaire and email all files to including a copy of your suitable identification

Not enrolled but need an appointment? 

You can still get an appointment even if you are not enrolled with us e.g. if you’re a visitor to the region. Just phone our friendly team for a casual appointment.  Extra charges apply for casual appointments when you are not enrolled.

For after hours care please visit The Doctors New Lynn who are open 8am - 8pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 3pm weekends and public holidays.  Outside the opening hours of The Doctors New Lynn we recommend you phone Healthline (0800 611 116) or attend a local White Cross Urgent Care Centre.

  • Dr Kathir Sinnathamby

    Dr Kathir Sinnathamby

    Dr Kathirgamu Sinnathamby studied medicine in Colomba, Sri Lanka and was trained as an oncologist in Sri Lanka. He moved to New Zealand in 1996. After completing the New Zealand qualifying examination for foreign doctors, he started working as a GP at a rural practice. He then joined The Doctors New Lynn in 2003.

  • Dr Montserrat Figols

    Dr Montserrat Figols

    Dr. Montserrat Figols is from Barcelona (Spain). She obtained her medical degree from Rovira i Virgili University in 2011 and then spent four years training as a family and community doctor in her native country. During her training she cooperated with a local organization from Kolkata (India) providing medical assistance to the communities in the rural areas of West Bengal in 2012. She also worked with Guarani communities in Misiones Province (Argentina) providing on-site medical services in 2016. 

    Dr Figols came to New Zealand with her family in 2017 to join The Doctors New Lynn. 

    Dr. Figols has special interest in pediatric medicine, women's health, nutrition and lifestyle, preventive medicine, mental health and aged care. She speaks three languages which include English, Spanish and Catalan.

  • Dr Sanaa Salman

    Dr Sanaa Salman

    MB ChB PG Dip Obst Med Gyn MRNZCGP - GP

    Dr Salman graduated from the University of Baghdad, Iraq in 1986 and granted The Postgraduate Diploma in Obstetrics and Medical Gynaecology from Auckland University in 2003. She brings 20 years of medical experience, and has a special interest in women’s health and child health. Before joining The Doctors, she worked for two years in National Women’s Hospital, and two years in Starship Hospital. She has also worked as a GP / A&M doctor at White Cross, New Lynn and K Road. Sanaa speaks Arabic and English, and is married with four children.
  • Dr Adnan Ali

    Dr Adnan Ali

    MB ChB, FRNZCGP FICMS - Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Baghdad (1992)

    Dr Ali worked as a Plastic Surgery Specialist Medical Officer at Middlemore Hospital  following few years of holding a Plastic Surgery Registrar post there. He currently operates on referrals of skin lesions from North Shore, Waitakere and Middlemore Hospitals as well as GP referrals to The Doctors, New Lynn and Manukau City A&M.  Adnan worked in both General Practice and Plastic Surgery in Iraq before coming to New Zealand. He has completed the RNZCGP Seminar Programme, and is fluent in both Arabic and English. He is a father of four and as a keen artist, has participated in art exhibitions in NZ, and also had an exhibition at the Iraqi Museum for Modern art.
