Open 7 days a week for your convenience. The Palms run two centres, the Community GP Centre with appointments available Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. Our Urgent Care Centre is for casual patients or for enrolled patients for times when you can't wait for a booked appointment such as accident, injury or sudden illness, open 8am-8pm everyday, including public holidays. The Palms - Your Health Home offers an extensive range of services as follows:

Please ring 06 354 7737 to if you need to cancel an appointment at less 3 hours before your booked appointment time. A fee of $20.00 will be charged for patients who do not present for their booked appointment, or if arrived late and missed your GP appointment.

Manage My Health patient portal

ManageMyHealth is easy, fast and confidential. It is an online secure messaging system that allows you to communicate with us. With your approval, MMH uploads your personal health information from our computer system. It then allows you to access your personal health information from any Internet device at anytime, anywhere in the world. It's not a source of medical advice.

Getting Started

You need to register on the Manage My Health website (www.managemyhealth.co.nz) first, before downloading the application to your phone. To register all you need is a personal email address, proof of identity and be 18 years or over. Please call into our reception with two (2x) forms of proof of identity, then we will email you an activation code and instructions. Alternatively, you can scan a copy of your driver licence or passport together with a recent (within 4 weeks) utility bill and email these to us MMH@palmsmedical.co.nz. Immigration medical charges

General Medical Certificate only: $235
Chest X-Ray only: $235
General Medical + Chest X-Ray: $385

Limited Medical: $100 + Materials (must provide letter from Immigration)

** Additional charges may apply to the medical examination if further test are required by immigration medical that are not included in the initial charge.

Nurse-led clinics

We run a number of nurse-led clinics throughout the week to help you manage your health. Your doctor can advise if any of these would be suitable for you. These include:

  • well-child clinics
  • immunisation
  • diabetes
  • heart health
  • asthma
  • smoking cessation
  • wellness: diet, exercise and lifestyle
  • women's health including cervical smears and advice on breast screening 
  • child eczema

Medical consultations

Please be aware that in the interests of patient safety and best practice healthcare, all medical consultations are to be made face to face. Sometimes the practice nurse may be able help with simple queries but it is always best to make an appointment to see a practice nurse or GP. Thank you for your understanding.

Weekend service

Our centre is certified to the Urgent Care standard as an Urgent Care medical centre. This means that on weekends and public holidays, emergency and urgent walk-in patients take priority.

If you would like to see your regular GP for non-urgent or non-acute health concerns, please make an appointment during our normal weekday hours.
