The Doctors Gascoigne

With affordable general practice family healthcare and access to after hours urgent care, The Doctors Gascoigne welcomes patients to our friendly family practice, here in Hastings South. We offer a range of services provided by our team of doctors, nurses, and social worker and are open 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.  

Urgent medical or injury care
All The Doctors Gascoigne patients can go to The Doctors Hastings and pay the same fees. Children under 13 are free. The Doctors Hastings has an on site x-ray facility. All x-rays for injuries are free of charge and same day x-ray results are available if required. Physio and pharmacy are also available on site. Your doctor will be informed about your injury and will have all the information about your injury on hand, when you go for a follow-up visit.

The Doctors Hastings is at 110 Russell Street South, ph 876 8445, and is open 8am – 8pm everyday.

Dr Ezra Schofield

Dr Schofield is of Samoan descent and trained in Otago and Christchurch.  He worked at the Hawkes Bay Regional hospital for 3 years and is committed to the Hastings area working in Gascoigne Medical on a Monday and Tuesday.  He enjoys working with patients from a wide range of age groups and has a special interest in family medicine and men’s health.

Outside work, Dr Schofield enjoys watching rugby and cricket plays a lot of board games and likes to cook.

We are delighted to say that Dr Ezra Schofield has passed his GPEP 1 examinations with some outstanding results.  We congratulate Ezra on this fabulous result, and speak on behalf of the entire team when we say how incredibly fortunate we feel to have him as part of our team.

September 2016:

In response to patient suggestions, we have made some changes to our medical centre that will improve physical access for our patients: we have widened the entry into the waiting room to accommodate wheelchairs and mobility aids and we have a designated car park for patients with a mobility parking permit or a medical condition or disability that prevents your ability to walk distances.
