After hours service
If you need medical care when our practice is closed, please call 0800 611 116. Your call will be taken by a New Zealand registered triage nurse, who will assess your needs, offer advice or arrange immediate assistance. This could include referral to your on-call GP (if applicable) clinic, hospital, ambulance or any available after-hours facility in your area.
This service is available all night, on weekends and public holidays, and any time the practice is closed including Christmas Day.
So if someone is not feeling well in the middle of the night, don't hesitate to call us for free advice. It doesn't matter what time it is, just call our practice number and you will be forwarded directly to a registered nurse.
You won't wake anyone up because the nurses are there, waiting to help anytime. We know how upsetting it can be to lie awake worrying "should I be doing something, or should I wait till the morning". Now you don't have to worry. Just pick up the phone and ring any time on 0800 611 116.
A report of your enquiry will be sent to your doctor. Silverstream Health Centre is pleased to provide this free service as part of our practice policy to offer the best possible health care for our patients.
If you are planning to travel in the coming months, we can help you with your vaccinations and travel health needs. Just book an appointment with one of our team and we can advise you about what you need for your trip and we can arrange any additional vaccinations you may need to make sure you’re covered!
