The Doctors New Lynn

The Doctors New Lynn Medical Centre

At The Doctors New Lynn we provide a comprehensive, convenient, and very affordable family general practice healthcare service, with pharmacy, radiology department, and acupuncture onsite as well. We offer a number of specialised programmes, including immunisations, travel vaccinations, ongoing screening for breast and cervical cancer, and wellness and health ageing clinics.

Minor surgery including circumcisions are available along with traditional Chinese acupuncture.s. We are fully computerised, allowing us to access laboratory results straight from the lab, and as part of National Hauora Coalition PHO, we can keep our patient fees at a very affordable level. Our staff speak ten different languages including Mandarin and Cantonese.

Walk In Service

We operate a walk-in service for acute problems.  This is designed to allow for on-the-day, urgent problems.  Patients will be triaged by the nursing team and then seen on the basis of medical need and then order of arrival.  For your regular, ongoing medical problems please make an appointment to see the doctor.  Drivers licensing medicals, WINZ medicals, diving, and insurance medicals cannot be accommodated in the walk-in clinic and will not be completed, 30 minute appointments are required for these medicals.

Prepayments

Due to rising bad debt and ever increasing costs, from 1 February 2024 all visits must be paid prior to seeing the doctor.

Debt Management

Unpaid invoices of over 90 days will be passed to a debt collection agency and additional fees will be applied by them.

FREE HIPs and Health Coaches

Our Primary Health Organization is funding our medical centre to have Health Improvement Practitioners (HIPs) and Health Coaches provide FREE social, mental, and clinical support for our patients in New Lynn. Please contact our Practice Nurse to see how our team can assist you and/or your family.
