Our practice team of doctors, nurses and reception staff work together to help give you access to the care you need.

Anna Ridgeedit



Dr Anna Ridge joined The Doctors Napier team in February 2017. She completed her undergraduate medical degree at Birmingham University, UK in 1998 and subsequently gained post-graduate specialist qualifications in public health and general practice. She has experience of working in a range of general practice settings, international public health, travel medicine and sexual health. She enjoys all aspects of general practice.

Her usual workdays are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. 

Kate Sinclairedit



Dr Kate Sinclair joined The Doctors Napier in February 2017, having qualified in the United Kingdom. Her areas of special interest in general practice include paediatrics, sexual health, and mental health. Dr Sinclair completed undergraduate and postgraduate training in Wales and Scotland completing an MRCGP (UK, 2016), MBBCH (Cardiff 2010), BSC (Cardiff 2008), DCH, DrCOG. Dr Sinclair's approach is friendly and approachable, non-judgemental, and she is looking forward to enrolling patients and gaining experience in the New Zealand healthcare system. 

Alison Goodwin

Dr Goodwin is currently completing GPEP 2, the GP education programme. She has worked for 10 years in ED and for five years as a GP.

Her areas of interest are health (as opposed to disease), nutrition, fertility, and general practice in general.

“Outside of work family takes up most of the my time, but in any spare moments, I enjoy swimming, cycling, scrabble, and walking.”

Dr Sweetapple is a graduate of Auckland Medical School, and is interested in family medicine.

Outside of work he is interested in sports, tramping, reading and family activities.

Stefan Freudenberg

Graduating from the University of Munich in 1998 with a PhD in carcinoid heart disease, Dr Freudenberg has special interest in children's health, heart disease and emergency medicine. His specialist services include acupuncture, minor surgery and wound care. He also holds an allergy clinic on Friday afternoons. Stefan is also a teacher for the the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners.

Outside of work when he isn't busy with his four children, he is on the Board of Trustees at Napier Central School and is a very keen sportsman.

Justin Pratt

Dr Justin Pratt grew up in Napier and attended Otago University School of Medicine graduating in 1992. He qualified as a GP in 1997 and joined The Doctors team in 2003. Post graduate studies took him to the UK and Australia before settling with his young family back in Napier. His area of specialist interest is skin cancer diagnosis and surgery and he has dedicated skin cancer sessions both at the practice and for the local DHB.

Outside of work he enjoys a rich family life with his wife, three kids, the dog and the cat and enjoys tennis, music and on occasion surfing!

Wybke van der Wulp

Wybke van der Wulpedit


Artsexamen, Arts (Physician), University of Amsterdam, Netherlands.  Dr van der Wulp comes from the Netherlands and has experience and interest in the fields of neurology, gynecology/ obstetrics, and pediatrics. 

She is keen on sports, especially soccer, plays viola and guitar and enjoys family time with her husband and three children.
