Katharine Martinedit

Katharine emigrated in 2007 and we are delighted she settled here at Howick House Medical and made her home locally with her three teenage children. As you can imagine she fully understands the demands of family life. She has over 20 years General Practice experience within NZ and the UK and has a particular interest in Paediatrics and Women’s Health. She believes in an inclusive approach to healthcare, treating the whole person rather than just the symptoms. Katharine is looking forward to welcoming new patients.

Piers Andersonedit

Piers Anderson joined the practice at Howick House Medical a short time ago in 1986 after returning from the traditional OE. He graduated from Auckland Medical School in 1979 and worked as a medical registrar and GP locum prior to coming to Howick. He has had the privilege since to provide care in family practice to the local community, and wider, often over three or four generations of many old Howick families. He believes that the best care is individualised care and self-inclusive, monitored but self-directed.

In practice Piers’ interests, outside of everything, include dermatology and skin surgery, musculoskeletal and sports medicine including joint injection and acupuncture, and travel medicine. Piers lives locally with his wife and has three adult children.
